The Biggest Night

PC: Brandon Moningka

With the help of volunteers and donors like you, we were able to raise $160,000 in support of our programs at Biggest Show, our annual fundraiser! On Wednesday, October 25, we gathered some of our friends from film and television to bring our students’ stories to life on stage at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel. If you missed it, you can watch the entire show online and check out a tribute book.

Get Involved

PC: Johnny Fraser

The end of the year may be nearing, but it’s not too late to get into the classroom! Our students have been hard at work all semester, writing their own stories with the help of volunteer mentors. And now, they need your help to bring those stories to life. If you’re an actor willing to volunteer just a couple hours of your time during a weekday, you can make a big impact on our young people. Fill out this interest form to get placed at upcoming Big Shows.

If you’re interested in volunteering in the new year, join a free virtual Volunteer Information Session! At these sessions, you’ll learn more about our mission and values, volunteer requirements, and what being a Young Storytellers volunteer is all about. The last session of the year is on Wednesday, December 13: RSVP here.

Tell Stories at Home

Got a storyteller at home? In an exciting collaboration with AT&T, Young Storytellers has two totally free online offerings that make our curriculum more accessible than ever. Story Time is a digital educational 12-video web series in which students are guided through the process of writing a story from start to finish with the help of our Young Storytellers crew. You can also find digital YS content on AT&T’s The Achievery platform, where we’ve helped create educational units inspired by our storytelling programs and brand-new modules that use the magic of film to teach Common Core-aligned writing content.

Thank you for your support in raising voices, one story at a time. Want to get more involved? It’s easy:
